The Skopelos collection draws direct inspiration from a Printmaking Residency I attended in Skopelos, Greece. Each pattern in this collection was created with Monoprints; a printmaking technique that produces one-of-a-kind prints. I painted each pattern on glass and then transferred them to paper.

There was something about the swallows in Greece that filled me with a sense of hope and inspiration. Perhaps because the swallows represent the end of winter and the beginning of spring. Inancient Greece, the swallow was associated with Aphrodite, the goddess of Love, and was believed to bring good luck and happiness.
